Dixie Junior Livestock Show 2011!

Tess and I went to watch the kids at the livestock show. We had so much fun and the kids did great! I was pleasantly surprised to find I didn't miss being in the ring anymore! :)

Princess Tessa Leigh

i wanted to share a couple pictures with you. tessa is doing well but has colic. champ is good but feels left out. this is a short post due to champers growling for some TLC

Our Angel is here!

we are so happy to finally have Tessa here with us! She was born February 16 at 7:58 am. She gave us a few scares but is now doing awesome! We have named her Tessa (named after Lexie and dads grandma) Leigh (after her grandpa Lee who just absolutely adores her). She is a very strong little girl and is feeding well. when Tessa was born she didn't cry so we wondered if everything was ok. After a little oxygen she became "herself" and has shown us that she has a little bit of her mommy in her. Now, when she wants something she wants it NOW and she has no problem letting us know. :)

Russell has been absolutely amazing. He was so supportive and comforting during labor. He even got through the epidural and entire birth without leaving my side. This was a concern since Russ and needles have never mixed well.

I have always known that Russ would be a wonderful daddy but I didn't know how dang cute he would be. Tessa already loves her daddy. He talks to her with so much love and the look in his undeniable...He already has unconditional love for her. She is our gift from Heavenly Father and we are so blessed.

The unexpected joys of being pregnant

Oh, the unexpected joys of being pregnant. On Saturday I  didn't have time to eat breakfast before a baptism so I just drank a really large glass of water. I had a stomach ache the whole time but i figured it was just because I hadn't eaten. Well..we started driving home (about two blocks),  I told Russ he better drive faster cause i was going to throw up. One block later I couldn't talk I just had to point to the side of the road. He pulled over and I leaned out the door and started throwing up. Here is where the unexpected joy of being pregnant...by bladder just opened up! haha every time i threw up i peed my pants. So here i am leaned over throwing up trying my hardest to not pee my pants but I just couldn't do it. I looked over at Russ and said "Russ, I'm sorry but I'm peeing in your car." Luckily Russ was able to run to his trunk grab a towel and slip it under me before it got on his seat. All Russ could see was a big spot on my dress getting darker and darker as i threw up. We will never forget the unexpected laughter we enjoyed due to being pregnant.

Gingerbread FHE

Today we had Family Home Evening at mom and dads house. Of course the noise level was as loud as ever as we made about 17 gingerbread houses! Champ was having a hay day running around grabbing all the candy that dropped on the ground. Russ and I were proud of our "apartment" unit 32 (lexies volleyball number) I love holiday traditions!!!
